more active market in the Crawley area, with last year
seeing the best take up of offices for over 15 years.
Crawley has certainly led the way in terms of activity
compared with other regional centres, underpinning its
key locational attractions of excellent road transport
links, air links through Gatwick Airport, easy rail links to
Central London and the South Coast. Couple that with
access to an experienced labour market, it is no surprise
that Crawley is now the established business capital
in Sussex.
Key names that have recently been attracted to the
town include Nestlé who moved from Croydon some
18 months ago bringing 800 people with them.
Crawley will shortly be seeing the first major speculative
office scheme on Manor Royal providing 110,000 sq ft
of much needed top quality Grade A offices scheduled
for completion end of 2015. Further evidence of the
confidence that developers and investors have in the
strength of occupier demand in this exciting area.”
