Currently the Development Plan consists of the
Wychavon District Local Plan. A replacement plan
known as the South Worcestershire Development
Plan (SWDP) is being prepared with the districts of
Malvern Hills and Worcester City, and Worcestershire
County Council. Delivering economic prosperity is
the overall aim of the SWDP. There will be a number
of allocations of land for employment use, protection
of existing employment sites plus a very positive
policy regarding small scale employment proposals i
the rural areas. The SWDP will run from 2006 – 2030
