R&D Village
Harbourside’s R&D Village
provides a
new centre for innovation, research
and development.
The facility, which is the highest BREEAM
scoring commercial building in the UK is
designed primarily for companies operating
within the manufacturing, engineering and
materials sectors, sharing a state of the art
complex to help pioneer research and
development. Current tenants include
leading global companies TWI UK Ltd and
Tata Steel Europe.
TWI Technology Centre (Wales)
specialises
in the development and application of state
of the art non-destructive testing methods.
The Centre already works with several of
the major companies involved in the
nuclear industry, offshore oil and gas,
marine shipping, aerospace, renewables,
defence industries and many others.
Tata Steel
uses the Harbourside site as
a location for its Customer Technical
Services team to focus on product and
process development. The role of the team
is to work with customers to refine quality,
test specifications and ensure products
perform according to specification.

Talbot integrated steelworks is
helpful and we are also co-located
with business partner, TWI who
carry out technical analysis work

ddylunio'n bennaf ar gyfer cwmnïau sy'n
gweithredu o fewn y sectorau cynhyrchu,
peirianneg a deunyddiau, gan rannu
cyfadeilad o'r radd flaenaf i helpu arloesi
ymchwil a datblygu. Mae'r tenantiaid
cyfredol yn cynnwys y cwmnïau byd-eang
blaenllaw TWI UK Ltd a Tata Steel Europe.
Mae
Canolfan Dechnoleg TWI (Cymru)
yn
arbenigo mewn datblygu a chymhwyso
dulliau profi annistrywiol blaengar. Mae'r
Ganolfan eisoes yn gweithio gyda nifer o'r
prif gwmnïau sy'n ymwneud â'r diwydiant
niwclear, olew a nwy alltraeth, llongau a
morol, awyrofod, ynni adnewyddadwy,
diwydiannau amddiffyn a llawer o rai eraill.
Mae
Tata Steel
yn defnyddio safle
Glannau'r Harbwr fel lleoliad ar gyfer ei
dîm Gwasanaethau Technegol i Gwsmeriaid,
gan ganolbwyntio ar ddatblygu cynnyrch a
phrosesau. Rôl y tîm yw gweithio gyda
chwsmeriaid i fireinio ansawdd, profi
manylebau a sicrhau bod cynnyrch yn
perfformio'n unol â'r fanyleb.
