manufacturing base, almost twice the UK
average, a growing creative industries
sector and increasingly successful tourism
and leisure industry which are part of an
emerging modern economy.
The
manufacturing
sector is the back bone
of industrial Neath Port Talbot, with more
than 300 active businesses located in the
area. The Neath Port Talbot manufacturing
base ranks as one of the largest and most
important in Wales, currently representing
24% of all jobs in the County Borough.
The area also has an excellent reputation
for its expertise in design, research and
development, and in production and
maintenance in key industries such as
precision and general engineering, steel,
oil, electronics and automotive and
aerospace components.
Neath Port Talbot is already home to a
number of successful manufacturing
companies supplying many internationally
renowned brands such as Tata Steel
Europe, Intertissue, Freudenberg Oil & Gas
Technologies, Crown Food Europe and
Montagne Jeunesse.

yn yr ardal. Mae sylfaen gynhyrchu Castell-
nedd Port Talbot wedi'i graddio fel un o'r
rhai mwyaf a phwysicaf yng Nghymru, gan
gynrychioli 24% o'r holl swyddi yn y
Fwrdeistref Sirol ar hyn o bryd.
