Swansea University has enjoyed a period of
tremendous growth and aims to be a research
intensive UK top-30 UK University by 2017 and
within 2% of the top Universities in theWorld.
Our ambitious Campus Development Programme is
one of the largest knowledge economy projects in the
UK and within the top 5 in Europe. It involves the
opening of the Bay Campus in September 2015, a
brand new £450 million development which will be
home to the College of Engineering and School of
Management, together with the transformation of our
existing Singleton Park Campus with a focus on Life
Sciences and Cultural Arts and Humanities.
This expansion will allow the University to create
space to help foster increased collaboration with
knowledge hungry business through ‘co-location’ of
academic and industry research. This will act as a
catalyst for the growth of high-technology clusters in
the region by providing access to cutting-edge
research, state-of-the-art equipment, qualified
students and world renowned academics.
