Driven by uncompromising vegetarian beliefs Gregory Butcher founded Montagne Jeunesse
in 1985 to become an award winning SME. Mixing natural, cruelty free ingredients in his kitchen
enabled him to create skin products proven to improve our consumers’ lives. After 30 years
Montagne Jeunesse is still operating on the same fundamental philosophy of the ‘Conserva-
tion of Energy, Protection of Animals and the Environment’ along with a Human Rights and
Ethical Trading Policy to uphold its moral standards across every area of its business.
A founding member of the former Cosmetic Industry Coalition for Animal Welfare (CICAW),
Montagne Jeunesse has been involved in several animal welfare campaigns including launching
the “Save the Seal” & “Antarctica” appeals. We never use raw materials tested on animals and
are deeply honoured to emblazon our cosmetics products with the logos of the BUAV and Vegetarian society.
In 2005 Montagne Jeunesse moved into the “Green Barn”, a super energy efficient building on Baglan Energy Park
from where our global operations are managed. The company holds three environmental and quality ISO accredita-
tions and aims to become 100% renewable energy self-sufficient in the future. A long-term Site Management plan has
been put in place to sustain and nurture biodiversity within our beautiful grounds, including rare species of flora and
fauna. In recognition of our corporate social responsibility to the local community, the company has contributed and
supported local charities.
Montagne Jeunesse currently drives the impulse beauty purchase category in the UK and products are listed in over
1000 international retailers across 85 countries. A Montagne Jeunesse face masque is sold every 2 seconds! We pulp
the fruits, squeeze the virgin olives, pick the flowers and herbs and collect the muds, always within our vegetarian
ethics. Every product is created to give our consumers an affordable, pampering WOW experience.
