The three major towns in the Borough,
Neath,
Pontardawe and Port Talbot
are already
undergoing impressive multi-million pound
redevelopment transformations, supporting
the Welsh Government’s focus on town centre
and community regeneration.
Neath
is a historical market town with a range of
shops, cafés, public houses and a traditional
indoor market, selling fresh produce and local
goods. Following major refurbishment works,
the Gwyn Hall is rapidly gaining a reputation
as one of the most versatile contemporary
arts and entertainment centres in the area. In
recent years key areas in the town have seen
improvements to the street scene. The town
centre retail led redevelopment at Fairfield is
also underway which includes a new shopping
development and multi-storey car park.
Pontardawe
is located at the heart of the
Swansea Valley and is very popular for its mix of
independent retail shops. Over the last few years,
over £2.3m has been invested in environmental
and building improvements in Pontardawe’s
main shopping areas and in key locations in
and around the town. The town hosts a
number of festivals and events, including the
annual Pontardawe Festival, a celebration of
world music and dance.
Port Talbot
will be given a new lease of life as
a £25m housing led regeneration programme,
supported by the Welsh Government’s Vibrant
and Viable Places Programme is now underway.
The programme will deliver over 140 new
homes and 2,000m

of commercial space in
key locations throughout the town centre.

dan do draddodiadol sy'n gwerthu cynnyrch ffres
a nwyddau lleol. Yn dilyn gwaith adnewyddu
mawr, mae Neuadd Gwyn yn prysur ennill enw da
fel un o'r canolfannau celfyddydau ac adloniant
amlbwrpas gorau yn yr ardal. Yn ddiweddar mae
rhannau allweddol o'r dref wedi gweld gwelliannau
ar y strydoedd. Mae datblygiad Fairfield yng
nghanol y dref a arweinir gan fanwerthu, sy'n
cynnwys datblygiad siopa newydd a maes parcio
aml-lawr, ar waith hefyd.

Tawe ac yn boblogaidd iawn ar gyfer ei chymysgedd
o siopau manwerthu annibynnol. Dros y
blynyddoedd diwethaf buddsoddwyd dros £2.3m
mewn gwelliannau amgylcheddol ac i adeiladau
ym mhrif ardaloedd siopa Pontardawe ac mewn
lleoliadau allweddol yn y dref a'i chyffiniau. Mae'r
dref yn cynnal nifer o wyliau a digwyddiadau,

Bydd
Port Talbot
yn cael chwa o awyr iach wrth i
raglen adfywio a arweinir gan dai, wedi'i harwain
gan Raglen Lleoedd Llewyrchus Llawn Addewid
Llywodraeth Cymru, gael ei rhoi ar waith. Bydd y
rhaglen yn cyflwyno dros 140 o gartrefi newydd
a 2,000m2 o ofod masnachol mewn lleoliadau
allweddol ar draws canol y dref.
